Our stevedoring services provide a professional operation for the efficient loading and discharging of cargo to and from vessels, within the ports of Hull, Goole and Immingham. 

The Humber estuary is the UK’s busiest estuary and for over 30 years Global Shipping Services has been providing stevedore, services across three major ports. Our various locations provide us a range of options and the flexibility to add supply chain value, as a key player in the handling of cargo, through the Humber ports.

Therefore we ensure our port operations remain well organised and perform to the highest standard, in order to reduce, loading, offloading and vessel turn around times. This in turn allows our customers to profit from the efficient processes within our operations.

To maintain our high standards right across all of our stevedoring services and locations, our staff all complete an in-house POST training course, in addition to all stevedores being trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Port Handling. Our training standards, experience and professional development give our team the confidence and ability to professionally handle bulk, breakbulk, project and heavylift cargo requirements. In addition to our highly skilled workforce, we also operate state of the art equipment to support our stevedore services, in all three port locations.

Crew transfers

Global Shipping Services provide an excellent and experienced logistical service that undertakes the responsibility and organisation of crew transfers for vessels within the Humber Estuary. Whether the vessel is berthing in Hull, Goole or Immingham, we can provide the relevant services to accommodate all your crew transfer requirements. 

Crew welfare

At Global Shipping Services we understand the nature of the shipping industry and our experience providing crew welfare services has supported countless vessels and crews over the past 30 years. 

Within the Humber area, we have established key relationships with essential service providers, such as approved local ship chandlers, crew transfer providers, hotel accommodation, doctors and dentists. To ensure your crews welfare requirements are taken care of whilst providing an excellent customer service.

Vessel arrival reports

At Global Shipping Services, we can record and provide necessary vessel arrival reports and documentation. We work closely with both the vessel and custom's to ensure arrival reports are prepared and submitted in the correct manner, reducing any risk of delays.

Monitoring vessel discharging

Our of our key Port Agency services is our discharge monitoring service. We work closely with the ship and terminal to monitor discharge activities, providing updates to all the key stakeholders including ship owners or cargo suppliers where necessary.

Monitoring berth availability

Across all Hull, Goole and Immingham locations we provide berth availability services and monitoring. Working closely with the vessel and terminals to organise and plan available berths, ensuring a smooth transition into port.

Organising pilots, tugs and resources

Global Shipping Services can take on all responsibilities for sourcing and organising the relevant pilots, tugs and mooring personnel/crew, for your vessels berthing and sailing activities.

We have extensive experience in providing these services over the past 30 years and provide them for hundreds of vessels, annually along the Humber Estuary.
